Creating murals has become an essential part of my artistic practice, offering a unique opportunity to transform spaces and connect people through art. Each mural I create is thoughtfully designed to integrate with the environment while sparking conversation and reflection. My pieces often revolve around a central theme of unity, with the goal of bringing people together, fostering community, and encouraging dialogue. I love how murals can engage viewers on a larger scale, becoming both a visual anchor and a collaborative experience within the spaces they inhabit.
Created during an open studio event on loose canvas, centered around the theme "No One Dies from Love". Attendees filled in areas and I finished the piece. Because this piece is on loose canvas, it can tour around to spread it's message. Measures 12'x7'
Amazon Affinity Mural concept for DTW10. Intentionally created to tie in their affinity group logos along with abstract lines, circles and faces to signify connection and unity in the workplace. Measures 27'x7'9.
The Crain Communications Mural, conceptualized to reflect the theme of unity, is a vibrant and expansive piece that highlights the importance of coming together as a community. Spanning an impressive 42 feet by 12 feet, this mural was designed to visually represent the strength and connections we share with one another.
In a special collaboration, the Girl Empowerment Group of the Southeastern Michigan Girl Scouts joined the process to help fill in some of the color work. Through their participation, they not only contributed to the mural’s creative vision but also earned their art badge. This collaboration allowed the girls to experience the power of art in building connections and fostering teamwork, reinforcing the mural’s message of unity and collective effort.
