Harmonie Club Open House Event

I am seeking Detroit-based artists of all mediums to join an extraordinary event celebrating the reemergence of the historic Harmonie Club of Detroit. Centrally located in the Broadway District, this immersive open house will honor the legacy of the Harmonie Club, Paradise Valley, and the German Club, highlighting Detroit’s resilience, creativity, and vibrant future.

With multiple floors of entertainment and art to explore, the event is expected to attract upwards of 300 attendees, including city leadership and key community figures. Artists are encouraged to attend and engage with guests, sharing the stories behind their work.

The evening will feature:

• Art from Detroit's thriving Artists

• Live performances, including the Urban Arts Orchestra, aerial performers, and stilt walkers.

• Hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and unforgettable experiences.

• The premiere of a video by Real Times Media, Publisher of the Michigan Chronicle and Managing Partner of Paradise Valley Real Estate Holdings, celebrating the story of Paradise Valley.

This is a true celebration of Harmonie Clubs' cultural legacy and creativity. Don’t miss the chance to showcase your work at this unique event!

Submission 1:

Organizing and curating exhibitions requires significant behind-the-scenes work, including reviewing submissions, planning logistics, marketing events, managing fees, and coordinating with artists and venues. These tasks demand time, effort, and resources, especially when curators operate independently or with limited funding. Submission fees help offset these operational costs, ensuring that curators can manage the process effectively and continue to provide valuable opportunities for artists. Please note that application fees are non-refundable, as the resources and time required to review and process submissions are committed regardless of the outcome. By submitting your application you agree that your submission fee is non-refundable.
