CALL FOR ART DESCRIPTION: 

Artists Amanda Koss and Marta Cavajal are calling upon local artists of all disciplines to create a 12” x 12” self portrait in your own style. Your unique piece will be put together as part of a panel installation. See example from the Detroit Fine Arts Breakfast Club panel below.

Self-portraits are to be inspired by 365+ days of living within the COVID-19 pandemic and all of those virtual calls! This is a community project which signifies unity and the coming together of the artist communities throughout the Detroit-Metro areas. This call for art is open to artists of all mediums.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 12” x 12” x 1.5” for canvas pieces

• 12” x 12” for other mediums, must be framed if on paper or canvas board. Frame cannot exceed 12"x12"

• Must be ready to hang with wire

• Must be a self portrait inspired by 365+ days of living within the Covid 19 Pandemic, Zoom calls, awkward frozen faces, thumbnails, backgrounds, those stubborn filters and you!
