I was at the park with my youngest and found an interesting stick. I took a photo of it, and Google identified it as a Poplar branch. Intrigued, I decided to bring it to the studio to paint with. Overnight, the heat in my car caused the Poplar nodules (what attracted me to it the most) to bloom. This morning, my car was filled with white "snow fuzzies" floating everywhere. Unfortunately, I am allergic, so I had to toss it out the window.
I hadn't intended to paint the stick itself, but once I finished this piece today, I realized that it was exactly what I had seen in it.
